The Rural Health Training Project of the Empire State Public Health Training Center (ESPHTC), a collaborative effort, supports the training needs of the rural public health workforce to strengthen the public health infrastructure in New York State (NYS), particularly in medically underserved areas, through the use of technology and distance learning.

The Empire State PHTC is participating in a collaborative project with the Preventive Medicine Residency (PMR) programs sponsored by both schools UA-SPH and UB-SPHHP to work with Native American populations in upstate NY.
